Rugose Coral

These are common corals which can be found among the beach shingle. The commonest form is Zaphrentis sp. as in the picture above. They are usually polished smooth by their time spent knocking around with sand and pebbles.

Rarer species such as Canania cylindrica (pictured below) can also be found.
